Bolton Landing Brewing Company has been having trouble hiring talent. So it decided to turn one of its beers into an quaffable job advertisement.
Enter “Help Wanted,” a New England IPA, made with amarillo, strata and centennial hops, which the brewer released earlier this month. On the back of each red, white and blue can, it reads: “Fan of our beers, like this juicy New England-style IPA? Got some free time on your hands? It sounds like you should try enjoying these great beers as a member of the Bolton Landing Brewing family!” The brewery’s message adds: “Like most businesses this year, we are looking for help in our taproom. We offer competitive pay, room for growth throughout the company, a fun and laid-back work environment, employee outings, and a view that can’t be beat. Email or swing by the taproom to apply.” (If you’re wondering, the brewery’s email is info@boltonlandingbrewing.com.)
“I’ve posted on all the online websites for jobs and for jobs in the area, and we’re not even getting people looking,” co-owner Brendan Murname told the Post Star. “We figured since we were sending beer out into distribution, why don’t we send an advertisement?”
The beer costs $7 on tap at the brewery itself or $16 for a four-pack, which you can buy in its taproom.
Founded in 2017, Bolton Landing Brewing is a family owned microbrewery located in (you guessed it) Bolton Landing, NY, on Lake George.
