What could go wrong?
That’s what I asked myself as I drove on five-year-old tires that barely passed inspection down pitch-black backroads on my way to West Sand Lake. I swear I’ve seen low-budget horror movies that have started in similar fashion, but when I arrived at June Farms’ warmly illuminated Pony Barn, all my fears subsided.
Why was I at June Farms, an agritourism mecca with a penchant for throwing some of the upper Hudson Valley’s most beautiful weddings, in what seemed like the dead of night—6pm on a Friday night in November—in the first place? For the red-carpet premiere of June Farms, the Rensselaer County farm’s eponymous TV show that was released on Amazon Prime today, of course.
