Guilderland Animal Hospital has been providing veterinary services for the Capital District since 1955. Originally a mixed animal practice, GAH is now a full-service companion animal hospital and has been an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association since 1973. AAHA triennial evaluation includes over 800 standards of practice to ensure up-to-date quality and technology. As one of the only 3,000 accredited hospitals in North America, GAH has made a commitment to provide and maintain the highest standard of companion animal veterinary care.
Services provided include wellness and preventative care. Surgical services include routine as well as soft tissue, cancer and orthopedic surgery, comprehensive dentistry and laser surgery. Laser therapy is also available for pain management and increased healing speed. Diagnostic services include full laboratory, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Other services include boarding, bathing and grooming. All boarders receive individual care and are walked and exercised a minimum of five times daily. A large inventory of prescription diets includes foods from Hills, Purina, Royal Canin and Iams. Adoption clinics are held the first Saturday of each month.
The hospital staff includes Michael Casler, DVM (Cornell), Cristy Towers, DVM (Virginia Tech), Rachael Ragozzino, DVM (St. Georges University) and Melodee Kopa (Cornell). A compassionate, experienced support staff, including seven licensed veterinary technicians, provides devoted client and patient care. GAH wants to be your pet’s Pal for Life!
