Franco Espanolas Red Sangria
1 bottle Franco Espanolas ROYAL RED red wine.
1 cup of Brandy -optional-
4 tbsp. sugar
Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon and reserve.
Dice all fruit (peach, apple, pear, orange and lemon) and reserve in a bowl.
Dissolve the 4 tbsp of sugar in warm water and reserve. (Sugar syrup)
Pour the bottle of Franco Espanolas wine in a large bowl/jug and add the juice of 1 lemon. Mix well. Add the diced fruit and sugar syrup, mixing well then pour the Brandy into the mixture. Let the mixture sit in a cool place for 2-3 hours so the fruit aromas are infused.
Pour the Sangría -diced fruit included- into a tall glass half full with ice. Top off with soda water. Stir and serve immediately.
Franco Espanolas White Sangria
2 bottles Franco Espanolas Royal White 100% Viura white wine.
½ cup white sugar
1 small melon
A bunch of white table grapes
2 cinnamon sticks
1 cup Orange liqueur (Cointreau)
1 can lemon/lime flavored soda (7-Up, Sprite, etc.)
Clean all fruit and dice (maintain the peels in all the fruit except the kiwis) Reserve in a bowl.
One day before the event, pour one bottle of Franco Espanolas Royal White 100% Viura into a large pot adding the sugar and warm the mixture without boiling. Remove from the heat. Add the spices (cinammon sticks and cloves) to the mixture, cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
Transfer the mixture from the pot to a larger container (large bowl). Add the second bottle of Franco Espanolas wine, diced fruit (reserve some for garnish), orange liqueur (Cointreau) and mix delicately. Place the bowl in the fridge for 24 hours.
Before serving, add the can of lemon/lime soda to the mixture. Pour into a high glass half full of ice.
Garnish with the reserved diced fruit (grapes, melon, etc.) in a skewer.
Green Apple and Kiwi Sangria
1 bottle of Franco Espanolas Royal Rioja White Wine
1/3 cup orange liqueur
1 1/2 cup lemonade
3 Kiwis, peeled and cut in thin slices
1 large green apple cut into thin slices
1 1/2 cups green seedless grapes, cut into halves
Combine ingredients in a large pitcher and stir.
Chill for at least one hour and then pour into glasses filled with ice.
Garnish with a kiwi slice
