If you’ve been to Downtown Troy over the past few weeks, you’ve likely noticed its incredible transformation. There’s dirt on the stretch of streets surrounding Monument Square and many of the shops have been re-skinned to appear as though they were shoe stores and pharmacies and the like stripped from late-19th-century America.
That’s because film crews from the HBO series The Gilded Age have been hard at work there since late last month, filming portions of the new Julian Fellowes–created series, which will star silver screen bigwigs like Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City) and Carrie Coon (The Leftovers).
If you haven’t had a chance to get out to the Troy Farmers’ Market on a Saturday or blasted through town on a Ted’s Fish Fry run, it’s really something to see. Before it all goes away, check out some of the best photos, videos and the like of what’s been going on downtown.
