When Slidin’ Dirty reopened its doors in December—this time inside the Hedley building on River Street in Troy—it wasn’t framed as a revival tour or a nostalgia play. Owner Tim Taney never left room for that interpretation. From the moment he closed his original First Street location (which at the time was operating under the name Twisted Fiddler), he insisted that his exit was only temporary.
“We always intended on coming back,” Taney says, without flourish. “When we closed, we even called it a ‘farewell for now.’”
