What do you do to celebrate a decade of being the Capital Region’s only certified circus arts studio? Host a carnival, of course! That’s exactly what Good Karma Studio owner Jessica Lubin is doing on Saturday, September 25.
“We’ll be transforming our parking lot into a carnival,” Lubin says, “with a bounce house, carnival games and food, aerial arts performers, fire spinning, discounted merchandise and class packages, as well as supporting our fellow local small businesses who will be showcasing their products and sharing their expertise.” Such businesses include Meaty Max Vegan Meats, La Om Jewelry, Paint Cohoes, Indie Vibez Shop, DJ Baby Hands, Albany Spin Jam, YoGail Studio, Athleta, FitVine Wine, and mobile meditation company Kareim LLC. The carnival will take place from noon-3pm in the parking lot of the studio, located at 12 Walker Way in Albany.
Good Karma prides itself on being the Capital Region’s premier circus arts, aerial yoga and bungee fitness studio. Class offerings include everything from bonafide circus arts like Lyra hoop and aerial silks to classics like mat yoga and group fitness classes for all ages. Not quite sure what the circus arts entail? Check out some scenes from Saratoga Living‘s Kickoff to Summer event, during which Lubin and fellow aerialist Alyssa Ladzinski took to the silks and hoop for a performance right in the middle of Putnam Place.
“It has been an honor to serve the Capital Region these past 10 years,” Lubin says. “We are so grateful for this amazing community and look forward to celebrating many more milestones together.”
