Mechanicville Area Community Services Center Launches School Supplies Drive

The drive is running through August 16 and will benefit children from a number of local school districts.

One Capital Region nonprofit wants to make sure students from all school districts are ready for the upcoming school year.

The Mechanicville Area Community Services Center (MACSC) is accepting donations of school supplies for the 2021-22 school year. The supplies will benefit children from several local school districts; and the items in the highest demand are plastic folders (red, blue, green, yellow, black, purple, orange), book bags, binders (1″, 2” and 3”), notebooks (1-, 3- and 5-subject), Fiskar’s scissors, pencils, pens, hard plastic pencil cases, pencil sharpeners, crayons, markers, expo markers and colored pencils, and glue sticks. That said, MACSC will accept all school supply donations.

Not sure what to donate? To make the decision-making process easier, MACSC has launched hubs on Amazon and Target with lists of the school supplies needed.

MACSC will be accepting supplies and/or monetary donations, Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, at the MACSC headquarters at 6 South Main Street in Mechanicville, through Friday, August 16.
