Last Thursday, Capital Region Living hosted its first-ever issue release party to celebrate the release of its first-ever Health & Wellness Issue. Held at Frog Alley Brewing in partnership with Best Fitness, the event brought together the Top 10 Trainers of the 518 that were featured in the latest edition (including cover subject Tommie Burch, who could be seen hanging from the Good Karma Entertainment lyra hoop photo op in any number of poses throughout the evening) as well as more members of the Capital Region’s wellness community.
Upon arrival, every guest received a ticket for a complimentary CRL Sunrise (an NA take on a tequila sunrise) as well as snacks from Simone’s Kitchen and BARE Blends and samples from Ascent Protein. Food from the onsite Lily P’s was also available for purchase. Attendees had a chance to chat with representatives from Lucie Capek Plastic Surgery & MedSpa, Complexions Spa for Beauty & Wellness, and Clear Skin & Laser, and made full use of the massages offered by Back in Balance Therapeutic Massage and the slate of services provided by The Performance Sanctuary, which had brought pretty much everything that could be transported from their Ballston Spa studio to Frog Alley.
A little after 7pm, DJ Prez paused the pump-up music for the program, which kicked off with a crystal bowl sound bath performed by Tina Galante of Kristall Gräshoppa. Then, TV anchor turned health coach Benita Zahn took the stage to introduce the Top Trainers, and we picked the winners of our door prizes (which included giveaways from Spa Mirbeau, KOS Sauna, Saratoga Sweat, Copake Country Club, Sowilo Retreat, and more). On the way out the door, attendees made sure to grab a copy of the new themed issue, which has become an instant favorite in the 518.
