Last month, Proctors theater in Schenectady welcomed back Broadway shows, which had been put on hold for nearly two years due to the pandemic. But if you missed RENT, Waitress or The Prom this winter, don’t despair: There’s plenty more where that came from.
Tonight, Dear Evan Hansen, winner of six 2017 Tony Awards including Best Musical, will take the stage for the first of eight shows between Tuesday and Sunday. Called “One of the most remarkable shows in musical theater history” by the Washington Post, the show has struck a chord with audiences everywhere. In other words, if you can scoop up a few tickets, do it.
