Proctors Collaborative has long been the cultural heartbeat of the local scene—its stage lights, classrooms, and community programs pulsing across the Capital Region. Now, the organization turns a new page with the appointment of Marisa Flynn as vice president of programming, marketing, and communications.
Flynn steps into the role with nearly 20 years of experience shaping audiences and experiences in live entertainment. Her résumé spans arenas, performing arts centers, and brand strategy at the national level. Most recently, she served as vice president of business development for the Oak View Group, where she helped build partnerships and elevate guest experiences across venues nationwide. Before that, she was brand director for Carnegie Deli, and previously worked as director of booking at the Saratoga-based Mills Entertainment, where she collaborated with artists and agencies to bring innovative live shows to audiences across the country, for 14 years.
Living in the Capital Region herself, Flynn’s connection to Proctors runs deep—both professionally and personally—and this new position feels less like an introduction than a return.
“Proctors has been an important part of my professional journey and personal life, so stepping into this role is truly an honor,” she said. “I look forward to being part of this incredible team to grow audiences, elevate our programming, and continue Proctors Collaborative’s legacy as a cultural cornerstone.”
Jean Leonard, who previously held the position before becoming President, called Flynn’s appointment “a tremendous addition to our team,” citing her creative vision and industry perspective as key to the Collaborative’s next chapter.
