June 9 was a night to remember. CAPITAL REGION LIVING’s 10th annual BestieFest—an awards ceremony honoring the winners and finalists of this year’s Bestie readers’ poll—took over The Hangar at 743 with a sold-out crowd of small business owners that ate, drank, and were honored for their contributions to life in the Capital Region area.
Guests arrived to find a full spread of dinner and drinks, contributed by Bestie winners including Bella Napoli, West Ave Pizza & Chicken, Yanni’s Too, D’Raymonds, Honest Weight, Heat N’ Salt, The Greens at Copake Country Club, El Mariachi, Sake, Romo’s, Altamont Winery, Delmar Beverage Center, Hannaford, The Saratoga Winery, Druthers, Clover Pond Vineyard, and Brown’s Brewing Co., plus signature cocktails featuring Curamia Tequila, Portofino Dry Gin, and American Metal Whiskey. DJ Prez of Presidential Entertainment kept the beats bumping, while aerialists from Good Karma Studio spun on silks hung from the Hangar’s lofty ceiling. Upstairs, Music Man Entertainment snapped pics in the photo booth.
About an hour into the event, NEWS10 ABC’s Ryan Peterson, who himself was named Best Morning News Anchor, took the mic to recognize the Bestie winners and finalists. After the awards, a few lucky attendees won door prizes from Altamont Winery, Cross Eyed Owl, Copake Country Club, and Chez Mike, and everyone walked out with a swag bag stuffed with goodies from The Animal Hospital, The Healthy Café Food Truck, High Rollers Skating Rink, Zappia & Fryer, Hannaford, Choices Hair Salon, Alltown Fresh, CDPHP, Good Karma Studio, and Joyelles Jewelers. CRL would also like to thank Morgan Linens, Stone Industries, Total Events, Tusk Printing, and The Hangar at 743 for their contributions to what turned out to be the best BestieFest yet.
